Hammertoes

Hammertoes can occur on any toe but most often on the small and secondtoe. They are crooked and bent down. Hammertoes can be caused by abnormalwalking, heredity or injury. It is caused often by muscle imbalance. Problemscan include corns, swelling and joint pain.

Treatment

Treatment includes trimming corns, deeper and wider shoes, foot orthoticsand surgery.
